Rebecca’s articles have appeared in newspapers and publications across the country and throughout the world, including National Geographic News, The National, The New York Times, Chicago Tribune, The Washington Post, The Washington Times and others. She worked for The Associated Press in New York, Washington and Bangkok.

Rebecca lived in Asia for nearly five years, initially as a Peace Corps volunteer for two years in Sichuan Province, China. She is a graduate of the Hopkins-Nanjing Center, where her classes on China were conducted in Chinese.

Rebecca holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania, with a double major in English and Philosophy.
