She has produced television shows for Arlington Independent Media, where she is certified in field production and Adobe Premiere and After Effects. She has been shooting and editing videos since 2009, with her work appearing in a variety of online publications and picked up by national outlets.

She got her start at The Associated Press, working in editing and reporting roles in New York, Washington and Bangkok. Her AP enterprise won wide play, running in The New York Times and on front pages across the country. She has also written and edited for National Geographic News, The National in Abu Dhabi and Government Executive.

She dabbles in photography and can throw together a simple website such as this one (which, by the way, is better on a desktop).

Rebecca lived in Asia for nearly five years, initially as a Peace Corps volunteer for two years in Sichuan Province, China. She is a graduate of the Hopkins-Nanjing Center, where her classes on China were conducted in Chinese. She holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania, with a double major in English and Philosophy.
